PROBLEMS OF SMALL STRAINS SUPERPOSED ON FINITE DEFORMATION IN VISCOELASTIC SOLIDS,

Abstract

Certain problems of stress relaxation, due to small strains applied to a deformed viscoelastic material are examined. The initial strain is assumed nonlinear, and the material completely relaxed. The solutions obtained are useful in the design of experimental techniques for measurements of viscoelastic properties under finite deformation. (Author)
