INVESTIGATION OF SELF-ALIGNING BEARING MOUNTINGS FOR SPACE OPERATION.

Abstract

This report describes the first three months effort in the 'Investigation of Self-Aligning Bearing Mountings for Space Operation'. Fabrication was initiated on two mounting concepts studied previously. Lubricants were selected for use in -100 to 2500 F temperature and 10 to the -9th power Torr vacuum environments. Fabrication f in-air test equipment was completed and vacuum test equipment fabrication is nearing completion. (Author)
