Abstract
Materials of the composition MF-9003 have been prepared and measurements of initial permeability, Q, temperature variation of initial permeability, disaccommodation and density have been taken. Several of these materials show temperature variation of initial permeability values that satisfy the temperature variation of initial permeability product values as implied in the technical requirements of the contract. These materials can be used in cup core assemblies which can be made with effective permeabilities and Q's that easily satisfy the individual requirements for initial permeability and Q. Of these materials, one which was calcined at 1205 C, milled 32 hours and fired at 1300 C, shows the lowest temperature coefficient 29570) and temperature factor (6.5) thus far obtained in this study. Disaccommodation also was quite low. (Author)
