Abstract

The history, mission, and organization of the U. S. Army Coastal Engineering Research Center, which was established by Congress in 1963 to carry on the research function of the former Beach Erosion Board, are briefly described. The Center's laboratory and its physical facilities, as wave tanks and generators, are also described and depicted by photographs. (Author)
