SOLID STATE LASER AMPLIFIER.

Abstract

In the early phases of the solid state LASER amplifier program, emphasis was placed on study of devices which amplify giant pulses. The current report presents the theory of gain measurements in LASER amplifiers and LASER oscillators. Comparisons with experiments are presented. The materials program has been narrowed down to the Y203:Eu+3 system. (Author)
