LOW TEMPERATURE BATTERY (NEW MAGNESIUM ANODE STRUCTURE).

Abstract

Investigations of shelf life and low temperature performance of the magnesium Balaguer cell consisted principally of two shelf and three experimental design programs, involving various modifications and combinations of cell components. The use of a plastic bottom closure in place of tinned steel was developed and appears highly promising for improved shelf life. Further electrolyte studies are indicated for the improvement of low temperature performance. (Author)
