AVAILABLE AC POWER FROM AN ACTIVE REAL TWOTERMINAL DEVICE

Abstract

The conditions for obtaining maximum ac power from active real two-terminal devices are analyzed. It is shown that if the working point jumps between two points on the device characteristics and stays, on the average, on each of these two points for an equal time, maximum power can be abstracted. The generation of sine waves and circuits for realizing close to maximum ac power are discussed. (Author)
