MULTICHANNEL ELECTROLYTIC REAL-TIME READOUT RECORDING SYSTEM.

Abstract

The development is described of a multichannel electrolytic recording system wherein immediate, indelible marks are placed on moist paper. The actual recorder is of solid state design and may incorporate a separate time-base generator for each channel. Except for the recording paper feed mechanism, the process is static, and produces long, gray scale marks by electrolytically depositing dye-producing metallic ions on commonly available news-facsimile paper. Each channel is provided with sequentially gated video signals by means of a linear array of 128 separate styli. (Author)
