MASS SPECTROMETER STUDY OF METAL-CONTAINING FLAMES

Abstract

The aerodynamic molecular beam sampling system has been used successfully to sample stable products from several CO-O2 flames. Oxygen free radicals have also been quantitatively sampled. Evidence is presented for a strong temperature dependence of the cracking patterns of the simple molecules HC1 and CO2.
