CRYSTAL UNITS WITH IMPROVED TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENTS.

Abstract

This report describes the work performed and results obtained in attempting to compensate an AT oriented resonator. At thirty megacycles, on the third mode, three compensation techniques were investigated. The Electronic Compensation technique proved to be the most satisfactory method of compensating resonator temperature coefficient and met the requirements of SCL6609. Design procedures for utilizing this technique are outlined in detail. Under Conclusions and Recommendations the achievements and remaining problem areas are briefly discussed with a suggested program for advanced research. (Author)
