SPECTROSCOPY OF A SUPERSONIC PLASMA. II. EXCITATION T TEMPERERATURE,

Abstract

The excitation temperature of a low-density, supersonic, argon plasma stream produced by a conventionl d-c plasmajet was measured spectroscopically at fourteen axial plasma stream locations. The relative intensities of several neutral argon atomic lines were utilized with a conventional line-slope distribution temperature method to obtain the results. (Author)
