INTERNAL WAVE FIELD OF A DIPOLE IN A FLUID WITH AN EXPONENTIALLY VARYING DENSITY, I,

Abstract

The three-dimensional internal wave field generated by a dipole moving with a velocity U in a fluid of depth L, whose density varies exponentially, is considered. In this report only the pure internal waves are considered; that is, it is assumed that the free surface is undisturbed. The far field of the waves is considered in some detail. (Author)
