INTERIM DEVELOPMENT REPORT FOR SECONDARY EMISSION ELECTRON MULTIPLIER TUBE.

Abstract

The design of a high power grid controlled secondary electron emission tube is presented. The advantages of venetial blind cylindrical geometry silver magnesium dynodes are discussed. Various attempts at improving tube characteristics and structure are considered. A discussion of tube instability delay time and rise time, power calculations and tube parameter graphs are included. Life test results, tube application and future tube designs are presented. (Author)
