HIGH-ENERGY BATTERY SYSTEM STUDY.

Abstract

Lithium anodes were found to be stable over a period of about 1 week, with a high utilization efficiency. Cathodes based upon AgO and MnO2 polarized strongly in propylene carbonate, but performed better in acetonitrile. Ethylpyridinium bromide and succinonitrile were tested as candidate electrolyte solvents, but the specific conductivities of solutions were not higher than with other organic solvents. (Author)
