DETERMINATION OF SIGNIFICANT CONDITIONS OF THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT FOR MILITARY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT,

Abstract

In this paper the authors show how the determination of the significance of elements of the physical environment for use in military research must be based on an analysis of the characteristics of military operations. Specific requirements for environmental information are derived from a study of the ways in which operations may be influenced by environmental effects or conditions. Study should disclose the most useful and significant form for presenting environmental information to all military users, operational as well as developmental. (Author)
