A DIGITAL SQUARE-ROOT COMPUTER,

Abstract

It is proposed in this report to build a square-root digital computer for a hard-wired special purpose airborne application where speed and simplicity are prime in importance; to use compatible computing methods presently in use in the Optical Discrimination System; and to use the special algorithm techniques. Complete mechanization and detailed design schematics are included, along with test results of a complete working model. (Author)
