INTERFERENCE REDUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR NONLINEAR DEVICES.

Abstract

The results of a program directed at reducing interference originating in low level modulators and multipliers is discussed. Five circuits were investigated, namely, the ring modulator, the parametric balanced modulator, the transistor phase modulator, the varactor multiplier, and the feedback modulator. Each of these is discussed in detail. General discussions of three basic techniques for interference reduction are included. These are predistortion, push-pull, and feedback. In addition, a discussion of the general results of the circuit investigation is included. (Author)
