ACOUSTIC TELESCOPE.

Abstract

The purpose of the contract was the development of a system which would improve upon the capabilities of the unaided ear to detect and recognize audio signals. A microphone and amplifier combination was chosen to provide the greatest hearing enhancement and the system was then tested under various operating conditions. The results of the testing were compiled in a separate field test report and were used as a basis for recommending changes in and further study of the device. (Author)
