Abstract

The data presented in this report are the results of studies in which Navy Solvent GR-1 was administered orally to rats and monkeys. These studies included standard hematology, clinical biochemistry, histopathology by light and electron microscopy, assessment of liver oxygen consumption, brain and plasma cholinesterase, liver demethylase and alkaline phosphatase. Various analyses were also done on four guinea pigs (two control and two treated) which were obtained from the Navy Toxicology Unit at Bethesda, Maryland. Navy Solvent GR-1 had been administered to the two treated pigs in an inhalation chamber for 91 days. (Author)
