OCEANOGRAPHIC COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR THE PROGRAMMED DATA PROCESSOR-5.

Abstract

A program has been written for a shipboard computer that formats oceanographic data. It also computes sigma-t and the anomaly of specific volume from observed data of Nansen casts. The program then proceeds to perform a Lagrangian interpolation for scaled values of temperature and salinity and computes sigma-t and the anomaly of specific volume for these scaled values. It finally does a depth integration of the anomaly of specific volume from the scaled values of the recomputed anomaly of specific volume. (Author)
