STUDIES IN MARINE GEOPHYSICS AND UNDERWATER SOUND FROM DRIFTING ICE STATIONS.

Abstract

The program of marine geophysics and oceanography at T-3 continued in full operation during this period. The marine geophysics program included gravity readings several times a day, continuous recording of the total magnetic rector, continuous profiling with a Precision Depth Recorder, daily celestial navigation whenever possible, surface weather observations three times a day and continuous recording of the long waves in the ice, including earthquakes.
