CALCULATIONS FOR THE DESIGN OF NOZZLES.

Abstract

Details are given of the numerical procedures required in the design of an axially-symmetric nozzle. A velocity distribution along the axis of symmetry is assumed to be given and from this, a characteristic network is used to determine the isentropic core boundary after which a boundary layer calculation gives the shape of the nozzle itself.
