DETERMINATION OF RESPONSES OF PROTECTED AND UNPROTECTED ELECTRIC INITIATORS TO ELECTRICAL STIMULI. SPECIAL TECHNICAL REPORT ON PROTECTIVE DEVICES: RADIO INTERFERENCE GUARD, COAXIAL SINGLE-POLE RELAY, LOW BANDPASS TRANSFORMER,

Abstract

The effectiveness of each of three types of electroexplosive inline protective devices against electromagnetic fields was measured over the frequency range from 100 cps to 10 gc. The effectiveness of each device is reported in terms of power attenuation (PA), corrected power attenuation (PAc), and minimum possible insertion loss (ILr). Directly-measured data from which these evaluation parameters were computed is reported in graphic form. The devices evaluated were: Bendix Radio Interference Guard, Elgin Lowpass Coaxial Relay, Weston Low Bandpass Transformer. (Author)
