DIGITAL DATA INTERFACE SYSTEM,

Abstract

This report describes a system designed to be located aboard a general type submarine for the purpose of acquiring test data in analog form. The system will convert the data to digital form, arrange it in a given frame format, store it in a memory, and finally feed the data into either an on-line processor or into a permanent recorder. The equipment is packaged to go through a 25-inch hatch, is transistorized, and configured in modular card form. Test circuitry is built into the logic to perform on-line monitoring of the circuits to ensure that designed performance is maintained. Negative logic is employed at -6v and Ov for True and False, respectively. (Author)
