Abstract
A program was conducted for the development and evaluation of hardware comprising the 'Contactless Switching System.' Preliminary design specifications were prepared for the hardware, vendors were solicited for hardware development, and developed hardware was evaluated individually and as part of a system in the F-8E electrical simulator. A bus monitoring concept was designed, utilizing contactless switching techniques, to enhance the capabilities of the aircraft electrical system when operating from the emergency source. (Author)
