CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC FORMULAE FOR HEXAGONAL LATTICES.
Abstract
This report described the three axial systems, rhombohedral, orthorhombic, and hexagonal, generally used to define the indices and directions of planes of crystaline structures with hexagonal symmetry. It demonstrates the differences between the three systems and indicates the advantages of using the orthohexagonal variation of the orthorhombic system. Nomenclature and notation recommendations are made. (Author)
