A METHOD FOR INVERTING LARGE MATRICES OF SPECIAL FORM.

Abstract

The procedure for inverting matrices of special form has resulted in a direct, elementary method for obtaining such inverses. This method is easily adapted for computer usage, where storage is always a problem in the construction of an inverse matrix of large order. A particular advantage is that, relative to the order of the matrix, only a small amount of information has to be retained in the computation of the elements of the inverse. (Author)
