EXTENDED MOLTEN-CARBONATE FUEL CELL SYSTEM PROGRAM.

Abstract

Module design and reliability testing: Testing of modules 11E, F, G, and 16, described in the previous report, was completed. Performance results are summarized. Seven new series of 2x2 and 3x2 configurations were tested during this period. Operating temperatures for these modules were originally in the range of 600-620C but were increased to 650C. The 3x2 configuration was designated as the optimized module for further reliability tests. System design studies: Forced recirculation of air to the air electrode is discussed.
