THE HEAT OF FORMATION OF LITHIUM ALUMINUM HYDRIDE,

Abstract

As part of a study to determine the heats of formation of selected light metal binary and related compounds, the heats of solution of aluminum, lithium, and lithium aluminum hydride in 4.ON hydrochloric acid were measured by adiabatic calorimetric methods. From these data the heat of formation of lithium aluminum hydride was calculated to be: -26.63 = 1.47 kcal/mole at 25C. (Author)
