ADDITIONAL LABORATORY TESTS OF NON-SPILL CAPS FOR EDISON TYPE BY AIR DEPOLARIZED BATTERIES,

Abstract

This report concerns investigations of several factors pertinent to the use of air-depolarized batteries with liquid electrolyte in lighted buoys. Laboratory tests of three devices intended to prevent electrolyte leakage are described. All were found sufficiently effective to warrant field tests. Methods of assembling Edison Type BY batteries in Coast Guard battery cans and racks are considered. (Author)
