NETWORK GROUP, HYBRID CIRCUIT OA-7424(XW-1)/FCC17.

Abstract

This report contains a summary of design and development problems and a theoretical discussion of the Network Group, Hybrid Circuit, which was designed and developed to provide two-wire termination for 12 four-wire voice frequency circuits. Transhybrid balance, is accomplished either by strapping-in an internal compromise balancing network or by utilizing an external precision balancing ne/work. Mechanically, the shelf is unique in the fact that it is mounted in an upside-down position with respect to the conventional mounting of AN/FCC-17 shelves. The predicted Mean Time Between Failure of two Network Group, Hybrid Circuits (24 channels) is 5820 hours with a Point Availability of 99.995%. (Author)
