INTERCONNECTING NETWORK OA-7181(XW-1)/FCC-17, OA-7182(XW-1)/FCC-17 AND OA-7183(XW-1)/FCC-17 (GROUP INTERCONNECT NETWORKS).

Abstract

This Phase A technical report contains a summary of the design and development problems and a detailed theoretical discussion of the group interconnect network. The group interconnect network was designed to allow interconnection of twelve-channel groups at the 60 to 108-kc group frequency band without the necessity of using channel equipment to demodulate to voice frequency. The predicted Mean-Time-Between-Failure of the group interconnect network is 19,000 hours with an estimated Point Availability of 99.998 percent. The group interconnect network provides facilities for interconnecting a 12channel group between two AN/FCC-17 terminals, an AN/FCC-17 system and a commercial system, or other combinations. (Author)
