TEST OF ADHESIVES FOR FIBROUS GLASS BLANKET INSULATION,

Abstract

The project covers the testing of seven proprietary adhesives for use in bonding vinyl faced fibrous glass insulation blankets to steel ship's structure. The properties considered were adhesion, temperature limitations for application, flamability, and bonding times. The results of the tests showed two adhesives had equal qualities except one was better for brush application. (Author)
