AMPLITUDE AND PHASE SPECTRA OF NEAR ATMOSPHERICS IN THE 2-30-KC RANGE (AMPLITUDNYYE I FAZOVYYE SPEKTRY BLIZHIKH ATMOSFERIKOV V DIAPAZONE 2-30 KGTS).

Abstract

It is known that the shape of atmospherics at various distances from the source depends on the frequency properties of the environment and the source, which is lightning discharge. The knowledge of source characteristics permits the use of atmospherics in investigations of the properties of long- and superlong-wave propagation over the earth's surface. However, data on the electromagnetic properties of lightning in the vicinity of the discharge are very scarce and often contradictory. (Author)
