PERCEPTRON APPLICABILITY TO AUTOMATIC PHOTO INTERPRETATION.
Abstract
Current status of the investigation of the applicability of perceptrons and related cognitive systems to automation of certain parts of the photo interpretation task is reported. A system block diagram is detailed and the individual components are discussed. Pictorial examples, showing how several of the pre-processing subtasks can be accomplished, are included. Plans for an initial general-purpose-computer implementation of a basic system and a suggested program leading to an engineering prototype complete the report. (Author)
