EXTENDED MOLTEN-CARBONATE FUEL CELL SYSTEM PROGRAM. TASKS II, III, AND IV.

Abstract

The purpose of this extended program was to explore the operating characteristics of a compact, low-cost design of a molten-carbonate fuel cell system. Work performed under this contract extension demonstrated that the specific module concept, which is based on the use of low cost materials and adaptability to mass production techniques, is operable and capable of extended operation. Systems investigations showed that the primary auxiliary components are reasonable and compatible with the investigated modular design. (Author)
