X-RAY TOPOGRAPHY OF RUBY CRYSTALS.

Abstract

X-ray topographs were made from nine ruby crystals submitted to NRL for examination. The crystalline planes examined were (0,0,12), (0,3,0), and (1,1,0). Most of the crystals showed growth imperfections in the form of striations perpendicular to the (1,1,0) planes. (Author)
