AN ANALOG SYSTEM FOR REDUCING ABLATION TEST DATA

Abstract

An analog data reduction system was devised to reduce strip chart records of temperature vs. time to convenient graphs of effective thermal diffusivity vs. temperature. This equipment is a necessary adjunct to the NOL alpha-rod experimental technique for ablation studies. Analog computation time is less than that of manual methods, and the precision of the results is improved.
