HIGH DENSITY DIGITAL RECORDING ON MAGNETIC TAPE

Abstract

This report discusses the problems encountered in high area density digital recording on magnetic tape. Some aspects of the process of pulse recording are examined, and applied to the methods of digital recordings in common use. A description is given of a system which offers advantages at high packing densities.
