SELECTED BIBLIOGRAPHY ON BEACH FEATURES AND RELATED NEARSHORE PROCESSES, PART A

Abstract

This bibliography is believed to contain approximately 75% of the most pertinent literature on the subject of beach features and related nearshore processes. Specific fields covered are outlined in the table of contents. The material is listed by subject and by name of author. The fact that about 80 per cent of the references are post-1940 reflects a lack of beach process research prior to World War II. A number of the general papers could be listed under more than one subject heading, so the authors' evaluation of their principal content determined their classification.
