Analysis of 3587 Tau(+) Decays

Abstract

An analysis of 3587 tau(+) + pi(-) + pi(+) + Pi(+) decay events is presented. These events were found in an area scanning of an emulsion stack of 600 micron Ilford G5 emulsion pellicles exposed to a 300 MeV/c separated K(+) beam at the Bevatron of the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory. The pion energy spectra are compared to the predictions of linear matrix element theory the pion pole model, and the s-wave resonance model.
