SHROUDED PROPELLER TESTS OF THE EFFECT OF SHROUD CAMBER ON THE THRUST COEFFICIENT FOR MINIMUM SHROUD DRAG,

Abstract

A wind-tunnel investigation of a powered, shrouded propeller with a related series of positively cambered shrouds has been made in order to determine the effect of shroud camber on the thrust coefficient that yields minimum shroud drag coefficient. Experimental measurements agree reasonably well with theoretical predictions, but are generally somewhat higher than the predicted results. (Author)
