REPORT ON THE FOURTH EXPEDITION TO THE COLOMBIAN ANDES.

Abstract

This report discusses a study of electrolyte metabolism in relation to mountain sickness. The particular hypothesis to be tested was that the symptoms of mountain sickness might be related to potassium depletion. The reasons underlying this hypothesis have been set out in full in previous reports, and is summarized in this report. (Author)
