ENVIRONMENTAL DESCRIPTIONS OF RANGER TRAINING AREAS. PART I. MOUNTAIN TRAINING AREA, NORTH GEORGIA

Abstract

The primary objectives of this study are (1) to determine the magnitude and distribution of environmental factors which relate to the effectiveness of military operations, especially of the Ranger type. Five environmental components are herein considered: surface macrogeometry, surface microgeometry, surface composition, vegetation, and hydraulic geometry.
