AN AC PROBE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF ELECTRON DENSITY AND COLLISION FREQUENCY IN THE LOWER IONOSPHERE,

Abstract

A dual-freqency AC probed is described for the measurement of electron density and collision frequency in the 60 to 120 km region of the lower ionosphere. The instrument is designed to make measurements after payload separation from the rocket vehicle near rocket apogee in the vicinity of 120km. (Author)
