OSR OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS WHICH DEFINE THE STORAGE-RETRIEVAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER SYSTEM RATIONALE.
Abstract
This effort involved the determination of an Identification Number System for identifying Unit Record chip images produced under OSR 406 Photo Exploitation Complex. The salient operational characteristics of OSR 406 were considered in the determination of the Identification Number System. The analysis and evaluation of these parameters resulted in the selection of an Identification Number System which consists of twenty-seven (27) alpha-numeric characters utilized to represent six categories of information. Each of the six categories of information convey mnemonic information relating to the image within each unit record film chip. This Identification Number System is also not affected by the amount of non-automated or automated support existent within an organization. (Author)
