PROTOTYPE TESTING OF R.F.D., INC. (USA) 6-MAN INFLATABLE LIFERAFT.

Abstract

Preapproval tests were conducted on a prototype R.F.D. 6MM, MK 3, six-person inflatable liferaft. This raft was submitted for Coast Guard approval in compliance with 46 CFR 160.051. The prototype liferaft satisfied all pertinent requirements of the regulations, except for the failure of the sea painter to meet the tensile strength requirements. (Author)
