SPECTRUM SIGNATURE OF RADAR SET AN/MPN-13.
Abstract
This report, which presents the data collected during the Spectrum Signature Measurements of Radar Set AN/MPN-13, Serial Number 67, at Perrin AFB, Texas, is composed of five sections, which are contained in two volumes. Volume I is composed of Section I, which contains general test information; Section II, which describes the search system transmitter measurements; and Section III, which describes the search system receiver measurements. Volume II is composed of Section IV, which describes the previous system transmitter measurements; Section V, which describes the precision system receiver measurements; and Appendixes. Radar Set AN/MPN-13 is a complete GCA (Ground Controlled Approach) facility used as an air-traffic control center to identify and locate approaching aircraft within a 60-mile radius, and to instruct the pilot in guiding his aircraft to a landing during conditions of reduced visibility.
