U. S. GOVERNMENT METALWORKING PROCESSES AND EQUIPMENT PROGRAM.

Abstract

This third status report summarizes the research of interest to the Government's Metalworking Processes and Equipment Program (MPEP) for the last six-months period. The first status report (DMIC Report 201) and the second status report (DMIC Report 209) were issued March 18, 1964, and November 23, 1964, respectively. This summary is in the form of topical discussions and is presented under the following subject areas: (1) Effects of Metallurgical Variables on Deformation and Fracture; (2) Effects of External Variables on Deformation and Fracture; (3) Mechanics of Processing; and (4) Metalworking Process Development.
