GEOMAGNETIC SURVEY OF AN AREA NORTHEAST OF HISPANIOLA,

Abstract

In March and April 1964, USACS ALBERT J. MYER conducted a detailed geomagnetic survey of an area northeast of Hispaniola. This survey was accomplished on an opportunity basis as part of a U. S. Naval Oceanographic Office project to survey offshore areas not previously subjected to systematic surveys. The area of operation is located about 60 miles northeast of the island of Hispaniola. The MYER area lies between two areas where previous magnetic surveys had been conducted. The information collected on the MYER survey thus can be used for providing correlation between these adjacent surveys. (Author)
